Description of the video:
Hi, and welcome to youbecause you matter. Did you know three out of four rural counties in Indiana list mental health services as a top need. Unfortunately, in
rural Indiana, there are very
few providers that are available
to help. We're working to change this width because
you matter. A new service launched by the IU School
of Social Work, the Center for
Rural engagement, supported by a grant through the state
of Indiana. We work with rural
libraries to provide free confidential
social work services to
people like you. Are social work
student practitioners can connect you with food, clothing, shelter, and
health care resources. They can also provide you with help for
motivation and stress management and
can provide support to you if you are dealing with anxiety
or depression. We look forward
to working with you because you matter.
Description of the video:
Rural communities have fewer optionsfor health care, mental health services, and to Internet access. For you. This means
you might have to wait three months to see
someone for care. And since only
about half of rural Hoosiers have access to high-speed Internet. You may not be
able to access online resources such
as telehealth services. Because you matter
is a program designed to address
these challenges. By working with libraries and other local
organizations. We're making it easier to connect rural
residents with free, confidential social
work services. Because you matter. We aim to improve the health and wellness
throughout indiana. One community at a time. If you'd like
to know more, reach out to a
library linked on this page to set up
your first appointment. Because you matter.

Reaching out for help, especially formental health, can be embarrassing. We might feel
ashamed to reach out for help or worried about what others
might think. We pride ourselves
on being strong, pushing through
difficulties and getting things done. We also want to do
what's best for ourselves and for
our families. With because
you matter, we work with you to get
through tough times. If you're worried
about seeing a mental health
practitioner because of what others or even you might think, consider using
the library for our free private
confidential appointments. When you sign up, you can use your initials or an alias and
you don't even need to tell them why
you are signing up. We're here in a safe
space to support you. We make it easy to get you the encouragement
and tools needed to be your best. If you're ready to
take the next step, reach out to a
