BSW/MSW Study Abroad Field Practicum

Osijek, Croatia

Students complete their social work practicum internship with the PRONI Centre for Social Education. PRONI Centre for Social Education is a Croatian NGO founded in 1998 by a group of youth peace activists responding to postwar community devastation. For nearly three decades, the PRONI team has worked to minimize ethnic divisions among youth and create social structures and opportunities for young people to engage in community development and social transformation

Petrinja, Croatia

Students complete their social work practicum internship with the Association IKS / Association for Promotion of IT, Culture and Coexistence. This organization implements a variety of programs with a mission to empower citizens through capacity development, promotion of volunteerism, education, and multiculturalism. Students working with IKS will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of programs and populations such as: children, youth, older adults, and vulnerable populations.

Prishtina, Kosovo

Students complete their social work practicum internship with Save the Children Kosova.  This humanitarian organization is globally recognized for improving the lives of children around the world.  Save the Children Kosovo, focuses on supporting children’s well-being through education, health, protection, and emergency response.  Some of the local NGO partners working with Save the Children Kosova/o include:  Voice of Roma, Kosovo Education and Cultural Organization (KECOVO), Kosova Education Center (KEC), Center for Social Group Development (CSGD), and Follow Up (Domestic Violence Services).

MSW-Only Study Abroad Field Practicum

Cape Town, South Africa

Students complete their social work practicum internship with Groote Schuur Hospital.  Groote Schuur Hospital is a large academic hospital and one of the most renowned hospitals in the country.  It serves as a teaching hospital for the University of Cape Town’s Faculty of Health Sciences.
